I have managed to attach to the serial console of Lenovo EZ Media with the configuration from the first picture. I saw the pinout from here: https://forum.openwrt.org/t/lenovo-iomega-ez-media-backup-center/5031/12
although it seems there rx and tx are reversed.
I have used macOS’ screen app
